High School Department We've got a great group of teenagers here at TBT! These are young men and women sold out for the Cause of Christ. They aren't afraid to let people know that the group allegiance they are most proud of is that of Christ's way. We are proud of our teens!
Gifts Christmastime is great! I love the decorations my wife puts up, the church's special programs, shopping for my kids and getting that special something I know my honey's had her eye on for months but has resisted the indulgence. Going deeper, I love the Christmas story. The telling of Mary and Joseph's difficulties and trials that happened all to bring our Savior to the Earth for my sake, for your sake, to lay our sins upon the head of innocence -- it's a gift beyond my wildest dreams. But sometimes, I get so caught up in the obligations of the season that I forget to get myself the ultimate gift: The renewing of my faith in the one who sacrificed everything for me. What a present! There's nothing better! How about you? As a teenager I know it's tough
to find time to get into the Word everyday, to keep taking those daily doses
of Christ-centered moments to build your life into a man or woman who has
something to stand on when the times get challenging. But think about
it: That stereo, DVD player, or MP3 won't get you out of a hot conversation
on values; they won't be there when it's time to make a choice between good
and not-so-good; and they just won't be much help when you feel like no one
understands who you are. So make a point to sink your time into
spiritual resources that will build your faith. Make plans to read your
Bible through in 2006 -- and start now! Focus your music library on
Christian artists who will lift your soul to the heavens. And make a pact
with a friend to surf only internet sites that will honor your Christian
values and beliefs. Kelly Beitel Play the new
