Steve
and Debbie Olguin head the Middle School Department. They have held
this position for 6 years and they have been serving in the TBT Sunday School
since 1975. Reaching out and touching the lives of Middle School children
requires dedication and a lot of energy. The Olguins and their staff exhibit
both in their caring attitude and dedication to reach these young lives.
Steve
has a Master of Education degree from the University of Phoenix and
is a 7th grade teacher at Apollo Middle School. Debbie is a
secretary to the director of the Tucson Water
Department.
Steve's goal for the department sounds
simple on the surface. "We want to
teach the Word of God to these young students so that they may make
decisions, led by the Holy Spirit, to accept Christ as Savior," Steve says. "To
grow towards maturity as a believer and to rededicate their lives to
live for God is more than a one-time event, it's a lifetime effort." Quite a
commitment!
The Middle
School Staff team also includes Mike
Olguin, Joe
and Janet Jones, Jeff and Missy Johnson, and Garry and Teri Bolin. They
are the driving force for tomorrow's church!
