God's Plan
of Salvation

The Bible shares a wonderful truth that many people have come to understand and to accept. As you examine the following verses may you be continually reminded of the fact that God truly loves you.

FACT PROOF
God created every one of us.

Genesis 2:7 "And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul."
He created us to fellowship with Him and have happy, prosperous, and peaceful lives. Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end."

Psalm 37:5-6 "Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.6And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday"

Ephesians 2:10 "For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them."
Contrary to God's desire, every one of us have rejected God and have sinned. Romans 3:23 "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;"

Isaiah 53:6 "All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all."

1 John 1:8 "If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us"

The consequence of our sinful act of free will is; eternal separation from God. Isaiah 59:2 "But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear."

Ephesians 4:18 "Having the under-standing darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart:"
God does not desire for us to remain separated from Him. Romans 6:23 "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord",

John 3:16 "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have ever-lasting life."

This gift was Jesus Christ.  Jesus was God made flesh.  He was 100% God and 100% man. John 1:14 "And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth."
Jesus came to Earth to die in our place so that we may have eternal life. Romans 5:8 "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."

1 Peter 2:24 "Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed."

Jesus rose from the dead and claimed victory over death.  Luke 24:7 "Saying, The Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again."

Romans 6:9 "Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him."

Romans 8:11 "But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you."

How do we receive this gift of eternal life and fellowship with God?  We first need to recognize our need for God's salvation.  Second we must believe Jesus is the only way to receive this gift. John 14:6 "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."
A gift is not earned.  It is given freely.  Salvation can not be earned by doing good things.  We could never do enough good to get us to Heaven. Ephesians 2:8-9 "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9Not of works, lest any man should boast."

Romans 6:23 "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."

We need to repent of our sins and ask for God's forgiveness. 1 John 1:9 "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.",

Romans 10:9-10 & 13 "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation...13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."

We then need to put our faith and trust in Jesus Christ and accept His death on the cross as payment for our sin. Hebrews 11:6 "But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him."

John 1:12 "But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:"

John 6:37 "All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out."

If you desire to receive this gift, ask God for it.  There is no speech that has to be recited verbatim but, the following prayer is provided as a guide.  God knows your thoughts and heart.  Salvation is a matter of the heart.  Just talk to your Creator out of a sincere heart : )

"Dear God,  I recognize that I am a sinner.  I need Your love and forgiveness.  Cleanse me from all my sins.  Come into my heart.  Make me a new creation.  I repent of all my sins by turning my life, thoughts, and actions over to Your guidance, control, and direction.  I beleive on You and that You died on the cross for my sins.  I put my faith and trust in You.  Thank You for Your gift of eternal salvation and for making me Your child.  In Jesus name I pray, AMEN."

If you prayed a sincere prayer and have asked Jesus into your life as Lord and Master, Congratulations!!!  You are now a child of God and have an eternal home in Heaven.  You have the Holy Spirit dwelling with-in you.  You are a born-again Christian.  Mark down the time and the date beause this is your re-Birthday!!!  Your new relationship with God is just like that of an infant:  It needs to be fed so it can mature and thrive.
A.)  Continue to talk to God and ask Him for guidance, support, and direction.

James 1:5"If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him."

B.)  Read the Bible.  It is the inspired Word of God.  God desires for you to know His will for your life,  His promises, and His blessings.  If you desire to study God's Word and do not have a Bible, we here at the TBT would love to provided one for you.  Please click hereto let us know you desire to obtain a Bible.

C.)  Please share your new found faith in Jesus with others.  Do not keep the knowledge of this awesome gift from others.  The Bible says that the angels in heaven rejoice when one sinner is saved.

D.)  Get Baptized.

Luke 15:10"Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth."

We would also like to rejoice with you and pray for you.  We encourage either stopping by or contacting the church about your new life in Christ.  Christians need to build up around them a support network of Christian friends.  These Christian friends can worship together, study together, fellowship together, pray together, and provide for each other; according to God's command.

Hebrews 10:25"Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching."

Romans 12:13"Distributing to the necessity of saints; given to hospitality."

Our God is an Awesome God!!!
