Jesus said, “It is
written, Man shall not live by bread alone,
but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.”
Matthew 4:4

The goals of WOW! Women of the Word are to:
1) Lead unbelievers to Jesus,
2) Lead believers to greater spiritual maturation,
3) Entice
many women of all ages to commit to lifelong study of scripture and
disciplined prayer lives, and
4) Infuse
WOW! members with the joy of studying the Word and drawing close to God.
We strive to reach the
objectives by attending together Christian women’s events, worshiping and
praising God as a group, and sharpening our knowledge of the Word.
Those of us who have experienced committed, in-depth
Bible study know that it is a joy-filled growth experience. When we study
five days a week and share together the personal messages He gives to each
of us in the process, He miraculously provides time for the other important
parts of our lives. He is so delighted when we immerse ourselves in
scripture and communication with Him that He blesses us beyond our
imagining.
Paul taught that, “faith cometh by hearing, and
hearing by the word of God,” (Romans 10:17). Wanting to be women of
faith, we offer Bible studies about half the weeks of the year, most often
during the school year, fall and spring. An effort is made to fit the
studies around others that occur for couples, such as those offered by the
Prayer Ministry. Watch the church calendar and screen announcements at the
worship services to learn when the studies are scheduled. We would love for
all women to join us in the adventure of “growing in the grace and
knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ,” ( II Peter 3:18a)..
